As a highly versatile thermoplastic, Rolyan TailorSplint provides moderate resistance to stretch and maintains its structural integrity immediately after being removed from a splint bath. Its balance of conformability and control makes it an ideal choice for clinicians of all experience levels to manipulate and shape according to specific patient requirements.

TailorSplint is designed for a wide range of upper and lower extremity applications. It effectively contours to the body’s surface for everything from delicate hand and wrist splints to larger orthoses for the legs, shoulder, or back. The material features edges that are simple to trim for a clean finish. For assembly, pinching the heated material creates a temporary bond that releases once cooled; for a permanent bond, simply remove the factory coating using a solvent or by scrubbing the surface.

These durable sheets are available in three thicknesses—1/8" (3.2 mm), 1/16" (1.6 mm), and 3/32" (2.4 mm)—with perforation patterns of 1%, 19%, or solid. With a rigidity rating of 52.7 kpsi, the material is strong enough to hold its shape without extra reinforcement and can be repeatedly reheated and adjusted without losing its physical properties.
